January 2019
Welcome to the first FFA Newsletter of 2019!
January, that magical time in the fitness calendar, when everyone is super motivated. I just love this time of year as everyone is in good spirits and really up for it.
Everyone knows that goal setting is at its peak during early January, but with what feels like 65 days in this month, many have fallen by the wayside by February or shortly after. In contrast to many other despairing dieters found at this time of year, I have been so proud of the determined effort, enthusiasm and SMART goal settings by most FFA clients this month with many (micro) goals already achieved and even surpassed.
A small mention must come at this point to client Dipak Lakhani who has lost 5Kg in the last 3 weeks alone. It is a good example and it goes to show it is all do-able. We often need a little help along the way, whether that be with support from friends and family and/or from your 'friendly' personal trainer both in and from sessions and also with some helpful tips and hints to keep you on track.
The 2019 Watford Half will take place on the 3rd February, starting in Cassiobury Park at 10:30. The race is organised by Watford Harriers Athletic Club - a race by runners for runners. Club volunteers such as Meera and members including Sabrina will always assist the club on the day to deliver an awesome event.
The course will be the same one used since 2015.

The Hampton Court Palace half marathon takes place on Sunday 17th February and is a great event for first-timers. One of the main reasons for this is that the grounds around and inside the palace are relatively flat - so no horror hills to put you off your stride. There is still time to book your slot...

Good luck to FFA clients delivering on their agreed set goals, training hard and taking part in events this coming February and throughout 2019.
As ever, I look forward to continuing to work with you to keep you on track to achieve your goals.
